Raleigh, N.C. – The State House approved bipartisan financial reforms and an overhaul of the State Board of Transportation on Wednesday after a State Auditor’s report found the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) exceeded its annual budget by $742 million in 2019.

N.C. Legislature Sends Governor Another Small Business Rescue Bill

Raleigh, N.C. – The North Carolina House of Representatives approved House Bill 258: Open Amusement Parks/Arcades/Venues Tuesday allowing amusement parks, arcades, fairs, carnivals, venues for receptions and parties, as well as dining and beverage establishments at outdoor stadiums to operate in North Carolina while safeguarding public health.

Speaker Moore Responds to Veto of Small Business Rescue Bill

Raleigh, N.C. – State House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) responded Friday to Gov. Cooper’s veto of legislation allowing fitness centers to safely operate in North Carolina. The legislation also included a revised outdoor seating policy to address the Governor’s veto of a bill to treat dining and beverage establishments equally.
