Speaker Moore Says State of the Union Address a “Powerful Economic Vision for North Carolina and the Nation”

Raleigh, N.C. – The State of the Union address delivered by President Donald J. Trump on Tuesday renewed “a powerful economic vision for North Carolina and the nation,” state House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) said in a statement following the annual remarks to a joint session of the U.S. Congress.

“The American people know the President will keep his promises to prioritize economic success over big government growth, build a better tax code, forge new trade agreements, and pursue pro-growth policies that benefit families with a powerful economic vision for North Carolina and the nation,” Speaker Moore said Tuesday.

President Trump realized his highest ever approval rating on Tuesday in a Gallup poll released prior to the State of the Union address.

The U.S. unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in fifty years in 2019.
