Speaker Welcomes Rep. Phil Shepard Back Following Kidney Transplant

Raleigh, N.C. – North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore welcomed Rep. Phil Shepard (R-Onslow) back to the legislature on Wednesday as he continues to recover from a kidney transplant he received on August 15, 2017.

“It means so much to me and my fellow members of the House of Representatives to welcome our friend Rep. Phil Shepard back this session,” said House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland).  “We are so fortunate to call Rep. Shepard a colleague and friend and wish him the very best in his continued recovery.” 

Rep. Shepard is serving his fourth term in the state House of Representatives.  He is a minister from Jacksonville, North Carolina.
