Speaker Moore Joins ‘Talk of the Town’ to Discuss Strong N.C. Unemployment Fund

Raleigh, N.C. – State House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) joined 103.7 FM’s ‘Talk of the Town’ in eastern North Carolina on Wednesday morning to address the developing response to COVID-19 and emergency measures taken to support families, businesses, and healthcare services during the crisis.

Speaker Moore reassured North Carolinians that the legislature saved wisely for times of crisis and has a $3.9 billion Unemployment Trust Fund balance, $1.17 billion in savings, $74 million in Disaster Relief Funds, $186 million in Medicaid contingency reserves, and over $2 billion in unappropriated cash-on-hand.
