FAKE NEWS: Audio of House Democratic Leader Proves Members Were Not at 9/11 Ceremony During Veto Override, They Were in Private Redistricting Meetings

Raleigh, N.C. – Audio from a press conference held by North Carolina House Democratic Leader Darren Jackson (D-Wake) on the morning of September 11, 2019, proves his caucus was in private meetings about an upcoming redistricting committee and not at commemoration ceremonies, as is being falsely reported by fake news media outlets across the country.

The Office of House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) released a 15 second clip from the House Democratic Leader’s press conference held immediately following the veto override vote by the North Carolina House of Representatives to dispel outrageously fabricated stories that Democratic House members were attending commemorations.
