Raleigh, N.C. – The state House of Representatives on Thursday approved bipartisan elections funding and reforms by a vote of 116-3 to meet the challenges of COVID-19, including a total prohibition on all-mail elections in North Carolina and expanding methods to securely request absentee ballots for those who need to do so.

North Carolina Lawmakers Win Key Motions Defending Voter ID in Federal Court

Raleigh, N.C. – State lawmakers won another key motion against a constitutional challenge to North Carolina’s voter ID law this month after the Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit permitted General Assembly leaders to intervene in a federal case that temporarily blocked the voter ID law from taking effect.

Pandemic Relief Legislation Unanimously Approved by N.C. General Assembly

Raleigh, N.C. – The North Carolina General Assembly unanimously passed two Covid-19 response packages on Saturday, approving over $1.5 billion of funding relief for critical needs and extensive policy measures to help local communities address the crisis as the state safely reopens its economy.
