Raleigh, N.C. – The North Carolina House of Representatives voted 70-48 on Thursday to pass House Bill 142 ‘Reset S.L. 2016-3,’ a bipartisan vote that resets House Bill 2 and completely preempts local governments from regulating multi-occupancy bathrooms, showers, locker rooms and changing rooms across the state. Teaching Fellows Bill Passes House Committee on Higher Education

Raleigh, N.C. – The North Carolina House Committee on Higher Education approved legislation on Tuesday to reestablish the state’s Teaching Fellows program.  The proposal would provide a student loan forgiveness program for educators in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subjects who commit to teaching in the state. House Bill Caps Community College Tuition for Active Duty Soldiers in North Carolina
