Raleigh, N.C. – North Carolina’s unemployment rate remained below the national average in August at 4.1 percent, dropping 0.9 percent from a year ago as the state added 69,738 jobs over that period.  The national unemployment rate is 4.4 percent. The report showed that for the 12^th consecutive year North Carolina has continued improving and the student graduation rate for 2016-17 was 86.5%.
